An authentic 1920s steam locomotive will pull a narrow gauge train through the Animas Valley and on up over the dramatic highline, hundreds of feet above the Animas River. On board, skilled and knowledgeable craft brewers will introduce you to a light sampling of their fine ales and educate you about the process required for crafting each brew! A light snack will be provided during the morning trip. Once at the Cascade Canyon Wye deep in the wilderness of the San Juan National Forest, you'll have two hours to taste more offerings from the six breweries, listen to live music by local bands and have your palate satiated with the exceptional food provided by one of Durango's top catering companies! Each brewery will tell their own story about their history and brewing process and will keep you engaged and wanting to know more. Also during your stay at Cascade Canyon you can enjoy many photo opportunities, a stroll along the river and over the footbridge by Cascade Creek. Relax with desserts and coffee that will be served onboard the return trip to Durango.
